The Main Street Gallery in Brighton, Colorado invites you to enter the 2024 Fine Art Show and Sale that runs October 11-23. $1200 in Awards. We are honored to have Colorado Fine Art Artist Sheri Farabaugh as our judge for the show. Open to regional artists working in the 6 following mediums: Oil, Mixed Media, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel/Drawing, and Scratchboard. 1-2 images: $35, 3rd image: $10. Fusion Art invites submissions for the 9th Annual Waterscapes art competition, August 4-September 5, 2024. Choice of a cash prize or complimentary one-year membership to Fusion Art’s Members Gallery for Best in Show winners. Jurors: Chris & Valerie Hoffman. Artists worldwide are invited to submit their best art depicting waterscapes: the ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, coastal living, ocean activities, seaside vistas, beaches, and any related seashore or lakeside subjects. Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 5th “Artist’s Choice” Online Art Competition for the month of August 2024. First Place will be on the poster of the show. Call for Entries – Art in the Park
PenMet Parks and the Peninsula Art League announce a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, September 9, 2024 – March 6, 2025, at the PenMet Parks administration building in Gig Harbor, WA. Commissioners’ Choice Award. Juror: Sarah Kavage. Artists must be 18 years or over. All entries must be original works of art, entirely the work of the artist and completed within the last three years. Entries must not be prints or copies, in part or whole, of painting or photographs by other artists. All entries must be for sale – all sales will be handled by the artist. The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) seeks entries for a virtual art exhibition, October 15 – November 30, 2024. $500 in awards. Juror: Tim Jaeger. What worldly elements do you resonate with? The foundations of our Earth? The intensity and light of flames? The calmness or raging tides of our seas? The freedom of taking flight into the endless sky? Early chemists believed Earth, fire, water, and air were the elements of life and reality, and when surrounded by them, it’s not hard to see why. All original 2D or 3D artwork involving any of the four elements, either by medium or subject are eligible. The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for an international juried photography exhibition, September 6-24, 2024. MWCP seeks photographs that elicit or display the binary of remembering and recording as a way to document recalled memories. Through the experience of the passage of time we look back and recollect, at times fondly with contentment and desire or otherwise despondent longing. In recollecting, nostalgia is often triggered by something reminding us of a happier time, a feeling of idealized pleasure and also slight pensiveness when we think about the way things used to be. Artist Space Gallery announces their 2nd Abstract online Art Competition for the month of August. The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in Providence is looking to take a snapshot of America today for a gallery exhibition and book to document these unique times we live in. From Main Street to your back yard, everyday activities to the grand celebrations and the tragedies that touch us all, we want to see what your America looks like. What image defines present day America for you? What best represents the city or town you live in? What gives you the strength to get up in the morning? What keeps you up at night? Images should fall within the broad genre of “street photography,” meaning they should lean to the candid, straight out of camera approach and not be digitally manipulated beyond commonly accepted journalistic standards. $25 entry fee.
