Ok, the last for today and we decided it will be film. All three of us went in to see some films that interest us and kept us on our toes or should we say seats.

There were three that kept us keenly interested and invested. Smile 2 is the first we watched. Naomi Scott plays the super pop star Skye Riley, who is recovering from a horrible car accident and substance abuse, a recipe ripe for trouble. The sequel took the story to a whole different level and Scott’s performance did not disappoint.

The next film we saw was The Substance with Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley. We have Demi as Elizabeth Sparkle who at this point in her career is considered washed up and well, you’ll just have to see the film for yourself, but be warned, this film is body horror. That’s all we can say about it. Both women did a wonderful job with their roles.

Finally, our third best film of 2024 is Alien: Romulus.

We loved, loved, loved this film. The design, effects, sound design, musical score, the story, we loved it all. It was a combination of the first Alien, the Alien: Isolation game…Fede Alverez didn’t disappoint. If the Alien franchise is up your alley, then see this film. It is already streaming since October so what are you waiting for?

These three right here were our favorites for 2024. Let’s see what 2025 has in store for us in the film department.
