MidWk Update: TV & Theater updates…

5.20.2020 Hello again…Hope everyone is doing alright. We are diving into tv and I’m just catching up. Ruby Rose has exit the CW’s Batwoman…I haven’t watched the show nor do I care about it, but this is a surprise. I was wondering how Mr. H Reviews thinks and his response is priceless… That, in my opinion, was the only thing going on with television, now let’s get on with theater. National Live Theater has another great play coming tomorrow on their YouTube channel, this time with Vic Young’s A Streetcar Named Desire with Gillian Anderson. Take a look at this clip… This might be up my alley! You can watch it tomorrow at 2:00pm on their YouTube channel. Put that on your To-D0 List. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, be safe, be healthy, be blessed. Image source: Wallpaper Access

Best of Theater 2019

12.21.19 We are continuing our best of 2019 with theater. West End theater in London or Broadway in NYC, there are always good theater performances to choose from. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to really see a play. Hopefully in the year 2020 that will change. The Hollywood Reporter and Time have their list of great theater performances. Credit source: The Hollywood Reporter & Time The Best New York Theater of 2019 by David Rooney The Hollywood Reporter chief theater critic’s top 10 includes formally inventive reflections on racial identity, illuminating revivals that found new shadings in familiar works, a peerless solo show and a kickass concert that doubles as a cure-all elixir. Clockwise from top left: ‘Slave Play,’ ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’ ‘The Lehman Trilogy,’ ‘Fleabag,’ ‘American Utopia’ and ‘Fairview’ Courtesy Photos It’s been a sleepy fall on Broadway, with few real surprises to galvanize the 2019-20 theater season. But enough strong holdovers from the spring nonetheless made it tough to carve out a list of just ten standouts. The majority of the more …
