Cool: Morbius

1.15.2020 Hi there! One more for the day. I’ve been hearing a little bit about the upcoming comic film Morbius… Morbius is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the second film in Sony’s Marvel Universe.   Okay, let me see if I got this…Jared Leto is Michael Morbius, a doctor with a life long blood disease, who experiments with bats. Did I get that correct? Well, take a look at this teaser trailer, which came out Monday…     I’m a bit skeptical about Sony. I always say that Sony should give up Spider-Man to Marvel. They really have no business in the whole comic film game. Sony’s Marvel Universe…yeah right! We’ll just have to see how this goes. Enjoy your Wednesday, be blessed.   Featured Image: Entertainment Tonight

Cool: Black Widow

12.3.19 Some movie trailers are dropping this week and two have popped up to get me interested. First is the teaser trailer…well about eleven seconds…of the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, but I wanted to show Black Widow, cause I’m a bit excited that she is now getting her own film. Here’s the official teaser trailer… Marvel is busy, busy, busy with their upcoming films. Did you like the teaser trailer for Black Widow? Another trailer is on the way…   Featured image: Mashable India

Generations have enjoyed and appreciated the stories and now a whole new generation can see the works. Here is a video tribute from Marvel and IMDB.  He has left an incredible legacy. Rest in peace, Mr. Lee. Hope you enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, be blessed.

Film Review: Venom

10.8.18 I haven’t posted a review since…April? Avengers: Infinity War. I have a lot of catching up do with this department. I made up for it on Saturday with Venom. Let me just say that I found it very entertaining.  Some critics didn’t too much like it or cared for the film, but I tend to think these people forget about films, especially superhero films: having a fun ride and that’s what Venom is. A little funny ride.  Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is an investigative journalist who lands an interview with Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), CEO of the Life Foundation. The foundation has sent a probe in space in search of habitable worlds. The probe comes in contact with a symbiotic lifeform. Brock’s fiancé, Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) is a district attorney helping with the Life Foundation’s legal defense. Instead of asking about his space program, Brock questions Drake about another subject, which leads with not so great consequences. One of Drake’s scientists (Jenny Slate) approaches Brock with evidence of using human hosts for the …

Film Review: Black Panter

February 20 / 18 Hello everyone! It’s time for a film review. Not Fifty Shades Free…who cares about that film. I’m talking about the newest superhero film from Marvel, Black Panther. This review will be short, very short. Here are my thoughts on the film…   Awesome Inspirational It’s not your average superhero film. It’s a film for everyone. For me, as a Black woman, it’s good to see Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Guria, Angela Bassett, and Letitia Wright as strong, capable women able to take care of business. Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, and the rest of the cast were great. Boseman brought wisdom and strength to his role as T’Challa. Director Ryan Coogler did an awesome job with his first foray to bring the story of the Wakandan king. It brought the action, drama, and everything else in between. What time to bring this film in the month of Black History.     That’s it. I said that it was going to be short. If you haven’t seen Black Panther, it’s a must that you …

Weeknd Scene: Super Digital

February 3 / 18 Hello everyone! Short, but simple post. I mentioned that two films are coming to digital this month, right? Something to do with a dude with a hammer and a group of superheroes creating a team? One Marvel, the other DC…Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League are coming to digital.   THOR: RAGNAROK / February 20 DVD/Blu-Ray: March 6             JUSTICE LEAGUE / February 13  DVD/Blu-Ray: March 13     Both will be available on iTunes and VUDU.
