Below are details on how you can enter… Credit source: The Writer   2019 Essay Contest Write a 2,000-word essay about any aspect of the writing life. Any topic is fair game, so long as it pertains to some aspect of writing.  Deadline: March 1st, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST Grand prize: $1,000 and publication in our magazine. Wknd Update: AWP Conference 2019 Update & Other Stuff

12.8.18 Hello…I haven’t forgotten. This is just a reminder about the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference 2019. I visited their page and I will post the same information as I did last time, along with registration, other information.  Credit source: Association of Writers & Writing Program (AWP) 2019 Conference & Bookfair Registration Preregistration ends January 3. Click here to register today! Conference events begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019, and conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019. The book fair is open at 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from Thursday, March 28 to Saturday, March 30, 2019. Students & adjuncts: interested in volunteering? Registration includes admission to AWP’s bookfair, meetings, panels, readings, and public receptions for the duration of the conference period; the exception to this is the new Bookfair Only Saturday Pass. Meals, lodging, and travel are not included. Hotel & Travel information on lodging at AWP’s official conference hotels is scheduled to be released in August. I’ve been trying to give you guys updates about next year’s Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference and Bookfair, which is being held in Portland, Oregon, March 27-30, 2019. Now the early bird registration has passed. October 11, 2018, was the deadline, but you still have a chance because Preregistration is from October 12, 2018, till January 3, 2019.
