It’s every weekend in the month of September. This will be the third weekend. For those living in the NYC area, you may need to see what’s going on….. cred: 4 heads / governor’s island art fair Opening Saturday Sept 3rd – GIAF 2016 Over 100 artists exhibiting in the historic prison cells of Castle Williams, the caverns of Fort Jay, and the officers homes of Colonels Row, on Governors Island, New York Harbor 4heads presents Governors Island Art Fair 2016 The ninth edition of GIAF will expand this September to include new installations at Castle Williams, a historic defense structure on Governors Island. A selection of artists will install works in eight of the massive building’s casemates – which later served as military prison cells – marking the first time ever that art will be featured in these spaces. September 19, 2015 Hey there! Had a very busy few days. Trying to keep up with upcoming art fairs, festivals, getting my art and writing work done….let’s just say it’s catching up with me. Don’t fret though, if you’ve looked on the right side of the blog, you see some interesting things going on. Governor’s Island Art Fair is going on its third weekend this month. The Broad Grand Opening will be held tomorrow in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Times, there was a gala opening on Thursday, and another yesterday.
