Wednz Scene: Another Call for Artist

Wednz Scene: Another Call for Artist

November 8 / 17

One last post for today and yes it’s another call for artists. Artsy Shark is looking for artists to be featured on their website. Below is a brief and detailed info about what you need to do….

Credit source: Artsy Shark

Visual artists in any medium are invited to apply to become an Artsy Shark featured artist.

Each individual portfolio article gives the artist an opportunity to tell their story in their own words, talk about their inspiration and technique, and present their work to our large audience. All features are promoted heavily through social media and email marketing.

Since 2010, over 1,000 artist features have been published on this site. All artist features are permanent and may be viewed here.

Artists who submit an application enter a competitive juried process which has a jury fee of $20. Not all artists will be offered a feature. Any artist who has previously been featured may not apply again. Selection is made through viewing the applicant’s art website or other online presence. All artists will be notified of the results of their application within three weeks of the application deadline.

A link to the featured artist’s own website appears prominently in each article. This gives artists the opportunity to make sales of their work, and capture email addresses of interested readers on their own site. Artsy Shark receives no fees or commissions whatsoever for any sales or contracts that result from being featured.

Enjoy the rest of your Hump Wednesday, be always blessed!

Just In: Artsy Shark Calling for Featured Artists

Just In: Artsy Shark Calling for Featured Artists

May 22 / 16

Hey everyone! Just wanted to pass this along that Artsy Shark is looking for artists to feature on their website in the coming months. I did mention this weeks ago, so now I’m mentioning it again. Read on….

(cred: Artsy Shark)

CALL FOR ARTISTS, SUMMER 2016

Artsy Shark is searching for 48 new artists to feature and promote in the coming months. Artists are selected through a juried submission process, which is now open. Deadline is midnight Eastern time, May 26, 2016.

Interested in being a featured artist on ArtsyShark.com? Visual artists in any medium who would like to be considered may submit an application from May 18-26, 2016. This is a competitive juried submission process, and not all artists will be accepted.

Each artist who is featured has the opportunity to present their portfolio and share their story and inspiration in an individual article on Artsy Shark. Artist features are sent to thousands of email subscribers and viewed by many of the 35,000 unique visitors who come to this site each month.

When an artist is featured, their article includes a link directly to their art website, sending interested readers to learn more about them and view their art. This offers the chance for artists to gain email subscribers, increase their social media following, and make sales.

Many artists have sold art, gotten commissions and received contract offers as a result of this exposure. Each feature is permanent, which means that it continues to promote the artist, who can use the link as long as they like. The current Featured Artist Gallery contains over 800 artist features at this time.

There is a jury fee of $20.00 for each artist submission. Applicants will be juried by viewing the artist’s website and online presence, not through uploading images.

Within a few weeks after the deadline, all artists will be notified as to whether or not they have been accepted. No fees or commissions are collected by Artsy Shark on resulting sales of artwork.

APPLY HERE

Come on by Wednesday for more! Be safe and blessed!
