More MidWk Update: The Snyder Cut is Coming!

5.21.2020 Good Morning! I just couldn’t keep this to myself…we are finally getting the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Yes, you read it right, we are getting the Justice League that should’ve been released in 2017. You’re probably thinking…What took so long? As you can remember, Zack Snyder, who directed the film, had to leave the project due to family tragedy, so Joss Wheadon took over. Great idea, but it wasn’t enough. The film debuted in November 2017 to a sluggish box office. Then Henry Cavill‘s hideous upper lip fiasco, and other stuff we don’t want to remember. The good news is that the film will be coming to HBO MAX in 2021. I’ve read this from The Hollywood Reporter. Here is a small paragraph from the article.  “HBO Max will debut the project in 2021 — possibly in a four-hour director’s cut or in six TV-style “chapters” — as the helmer gets the gang back together with the original postproduction crew to score, cut and finish visual effects.” To read the rest of the …

Wknd Updates: Comic-Con@Home 2020

5.17.2020 Hello and Good Afternoon! I’ve decided to extend the Weekend Updates to Sunday. Just a few things to share with you people. I hope everyone is taking precautions during this challenging time.  I just read an article from The Hollywood Reporter that Comic-Con International is going virtual. According to David Glanzer, we will have Comic-Con@Home 2020. Yes, boys and girls, Comic-Con is coming to us. The annual event was canceled due to the virus, but the organizers are working behind the scenes to bring it to the comfort of your home. “We are still in the nuts-and-bolts planning phase,” explains Comic-Con International’s David Glanzer. Take a look at this teaser via their YouTube account…   People still want to have that Comic-Con experience in the flesh, so let’s not think this will be the new normal. 1.18.2020 Evening peeps! Just a short Weekend Update from Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival. I had no idea that they had this. It was one of the latest updates from Comic-Con that grabbed my attention. Yes, I know this is short notice, but don’t shoot the messenger. Again, I had no idea they had this. Judged by a panel of industry luminaries, the CCI-IFF accepts genre-related films in the following categories: Action/Adventure Animation Comics-Oriented Documentary (Pop Culture–Related) Horror/Suspense Humor Science Fiction/Fantasy Awards and prizes will be given out at Comic-Con, with film screenings all four days of the event. Shadow Tribute: Stan Lee

11.14.18 This post is a tribute to Stan Lee, who passed away Monday. Here is a guy who created the heroes and villains you see today. Generations have enjoyed and appreciated the stories and now a whole new generation can see the works. Here is a video tribute from Marvel and IMDB.  He has left an incredible legacy.
