Fontbonne University’s Fine Arts Gallery in Saint Louis, MO seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, January 27 – February 5. Juror: Anthony Borchardt. All mediums accepted. W.E.B. Du Bois Sculpture Project
The Du Bois Sculpture Project is accepting qualifications from sculptors working in figurative bronze to create what will be an integral part of a commemorative memorial intertwining history, art and landscape. This is an open call to sculptors based in the Northeastern United States to create a bronze likeness of Du Bois to be seated on a curved marble bench in front of The Mason Library in Great Barrington, MA. Breaking Ground: Art about the Earth
The Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, MD seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, February 10 – April 23, 2023. Cash Awards. Annmarie invites artists to engage in our mission to connect art and nature by creatively visualizing the impacts of sustainability on our Earth. This show will feature works highlighting the fragility, ferocity, beauty, transformation, and stark realities induced by human behavior. All media will be considered, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, performance, glass, fiber, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. PhotoSpiva 2023 – Photography Competition
Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, MO seeks entries for a juried photography exhibit, March 18 – May 13, 2023. 1st Place: $1,000, 2nd: $750, 3rd: $500, Merit Award (3): $150, Honorable Mention (3): $100. Juror: Jennifer Thoreson. Open to any amateur or professional photographer in the U.S. or its territories. Images must be the photographer’s own work, and it is the sole responsibility of the photographer to obtain written releases from any recognizable person(s) depicted. Two-dimensional work derived from any photographic process – traditional, digital, or photo-based mixed media – is eligible as long as the work is original and has never been exhibited at the Spiva Center for the Arts. Three-dimensional work is not eligible. There is no theme. All work is required to be printed, mounted on a rigid backing and matted. The only exception to this would be printing on metal. The Maryland Federation of Art seeks entries for an online art exhibition, February 15 – March 31, 2023. $500. Juror: Matt Moore. Show us what resonates with you in towns and cities, large and small, near and far; the people, shops, traffic – anything that evokes a distinctive sense of place.
