Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)

10.29.21

Another favorite of mine…Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the film tells the story of Count Dracula, who is condemned to live off the blood of the living for eternity. You have a great cast, Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins, Wynonna Ryder, Keanu Reeves, Richard E. Grant, Cary Elwes, and Sadie Frost.

What I love about this film, it’s really a love story, gothic style. Everything about it is good, but Keanu’s Brit accent was questionable.

Love the colors…

One thing I remember most is the colors, especially the red cloak and amour worn by the Count. The design of the costumes, the sets…Also the song played at the end credits by Annie Lennox, ‘Love Song for a Vampire.’

I love the way Sadie Frost played Lucy…sweet, fun loving Lucy. The poor thing!

More to come!
