Bloom
The Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, June 4-26, 2021. Juror: Linda Robinson, Gallery Director. Flowers in full bloom, or the simple emergence of a blossoming plant is a renewal for the senses after the long winter. “Bloom” will celebrate photographs of plant life in all its forms during this spring season of growth. MWCP is seeking photographs captured through the exploration of nature photography, still-life genres or through approaches of people interacting with floral and plant imagery. An innate aesthetic appreciation is stimulated through the act of gazing at the fascination of flowers and plant life, and capturing this sensation through photography fulfills our universal quest for beauty. International Art Competition Nature
Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 4th “Nature” Online Art Competition for the month of May. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The Nature theme may include everything that is nature related (landscapes, seascapes, skies, world of flora and fauna, etc). A variety of interpretations can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptual). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. Artwork Archive provides visual artists with unrestricted funds, resources, and a curriculum to help establish, grow and manage their art careers. 10 unrestricted grants of $2,500 each.
