Submit your very best fictional short story in 2,000 words or less. Any theme, subject, or genre is fair game, as long as it falls under 2,000 words. Remember, no matter where your work places in our contest, you can purchase a critique with your submission to receive feedback on one of your stories. Deadline: June 1, 2021

Word count: 2,000 words or less

Grand prize: $1,000 and publication in our magazine

Other prizes: Our second-place winner will receive $500 and publication on our website, writermag.com; our third-place winner will receive $250 and publication on writermag.com as well.
