Good Morning everyone! The weekend is here and it’s time to round up all photographers. It’s been a minute since I posted about anything photography. I found a website that has all kinds of contests for photographers. Photo Contest Insider is that website. It’s a bit late to post contests for this month, so I pulled a few contests for the month of March.

BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition 2021
Now in its eighth year, BigPicture encourages photographers from around the world to contribute their work to this competition that will both celebrate and illustrate the rich diversity of life on Earth and inspire action to protect and conserve it through the power of imagery. Awards include $12,000USD in cash prizes with winning images featured in a BigPicture photography exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
Competition categories include Terrestrial Wildlife; Winged Life; Landscapes, Waterscapes, & Flora; Aquatic Life; Art of Nature; Human/Nature; 2021 Photo Story: Out of the Ordinary.
Award-winning wildlife photographer Suzi Eszterhas will chair the competition’s panel of esteemed judges for an eighth year, joined by international photo editor Sophie Stafford, and award-winning nature and conservation photographers Michael Aw, Shem Compion, Claudio Contreras Koob, Inka Cresswell, Jasper Doest, Morgan Heim, and Rathika Ramasamy.
Contest Prize & TERMS
PRIZE DETAILS: $12,000USD in cash prizes to be awarded to the 2021 winners. The Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000USD for the best overall image in the 2021 BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition and be featured in the annual exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. The first-place winners of the seven official categories will each receive $1,000USD in cash and also have their winning images featured in the annual exhibit. Up to 6 additional finalists will be awarded a certificate of recognition for each category, with the exception of the Photo Story category. COPYRIGHT: Entrants retain ownership and all other rights to submitted photographs subject to usage rights.USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the Competition, each Entrant grants to the Academy a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to reproduce, publish, and display submitted images directly relating to the Competition in all media throughout the world in perpetuity. This includes but is not limited to use in the context of the Academy website and social media sites, the exhibition of winning images* at the Academy, and and and all promotional and marketing materials regarding the Competition and Exhibition. In other circumstances, commercial opportunities may exist for awarded photographers to benefit from the use of their images, such as print sales or merchandise. Where such a commercial benefit is likely to arise, permission will be sought in advance and terms and conditions will be agreed upon with the photographer.
*Winning images include images designated as grand prize, first place, and finalist images.

International Art Competition Open
Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 4th “Open” Online Art Competition for the month of March 2021. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. There is no theme in this competition. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage, or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. First place will be on the poster of the show. Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards may also be presented. $15 for 2 images. Deadline: March 4, 2021.

– All artists from around the world are welcome to enter
– Artists must be 18 years or older to apply

– Artworks containing pornographic or satanic content will not be taken into consideration

– 2 images may be submitted per entry fee. There is no limit to the number of entries per artist
– Artwork images should be labeled as: First Name-Last Name-Title of Art.jpg
– Image size should be up to 2.0 MB in JPG format
– Only the artwork should be visible, clear and in focus. Please crop out any background in the images.
– Images should be orginal work created by the artist
– Art Room gallery does not sell artwork, but provides the opportunity for you to connect with potential buyers
USAGE RIGHTS: This Agreement represents terms and conditions between artist and Art Room Gallery. Before submitting their artwork all artists who want to participate in any competition on our website (artroomgalleryonline.com) must agree to the following:
– Art Room Gallery will use your images only for marketing, promotional, and display purposes for any competition on our website.
– You the artist agrees to allow Art Room Gallery to archive choosen artwork as part of exhibition. This will be available for public viewing on our website (artroomgalleryonline.com)
– Selected works will include artist name, title of work and a link back to their website or email adress if they do not have a website.
– Artist shall retain all copyrights of any image they submit to Art Room Gallery.
– Images will not be resold, exchanged or copied from this site.

2021 Photography Competition
Enter one of the most prestigious competitions for creativity in photography, the Communication Arts Photography Competition.
