Say Their Names: Black Lives Matter

Drury University seeks entries for an upcoming exhibition, February 5-26, 2021 at Pool Art Center Gallery in Springfield, MO. For this twofold exhibition, we invite artists to submit photographs of the Black Lives Matter protests. The show seeks to highlight citizens who have taken to the streets to peacefully protest violence and racism. We also invite artists to submit works created in honor of specific individuals who have been brutalized or killed because of racism (throughout history). Areas of the gallery will be devoted to memorials of these individuals. The BLM protest photographs will be exhibited between the memorials. Accepted artists will be invited to donate a work that will be auctioned with 100% of proceeds going to Drury scholarships for African American students. Artists will not be required to donate works; it is purely voluntary. Open to artists over the age of 18 living in the U.S. Up to 3 entries per artist. BLM documentary images should be photographs. Homage memorial images can be in any medium. 2-D works should be no larger than 24×30 inches and must be framed and ready for display. 3-D works are limited to 3×3 feet. 12th Annual International Drawing Discourse Exhibition

University of North Carolina Asheville announces a call to artists for a juried international online and in-print exhibition of contemporary drawing, debuting on January 22, 2021. $2000 cash awards and a purchase prize. Juror: Pamela Phatismo Sunstrum. UNC Asheville seeks to examine drawing as it is practiced and defined by today’s artists. Such an exhibition will demonstrate the continued significance of drawing through both conventional and innovative methods. Open to all artists who are 18 years of age or older. Work must be original, and cannot have been exhibited at UNC Asheville before. Las Laguna Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA seeks small works with big impact for a juried art exhibition, January 7-30, 2021. There is no intended theme for the work; it just needs to fit the criteria of being “small art”. No works over 18 inches on either side, including a frame, if framed. Open to all artists, professional and amateur. All fine arts media are acceptable: watercolor, drawing, pastel, painting, sculpture, mixed media, installation art, photography, fiber art, digital art, etchings, monotype, monoprint, silkscreen, airbrush, lithography, fiber art, etc. No crafts, please. All artists who submit to this show will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works posted on our website.
