Black and White: 2020

Black Box Gallery in Portland, Oregon seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, February 1-20, 2020. Juror: Todd Johnson. 24 photographs will be selected for an exhibition at the gallery. “Patterns and Texture” Online Juried Painting Competition

Camelback Gallery announces a call to artists for an online art exhibition. Lead Juror – Marie McCallum. Open to all artists 18 years and older. All submitted work must have been created by the artist within the last 3 years. Artwork must be a painting using any of the following media: Oil, Acrylic, Pastels, Watercolor and/or Mixed Media. Artwork must have a pattern or texture or both. Artwork may be any subject matter. This is a professionally managed online competition, we keep our artists up to date throughout the process and the jury chooses only the best representation of the painting style for the award exhibition. Laumeier Sculpture Park 2020 Annual Art Fair, Call for Artists

Artists are invited to apply for the Laumeier Sculpture Park 2020 Annual Art Fair, held May 8-10, 2020 at Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis, MO. Judges award a total of $5,000 in cash and prizes to those artists achieving excellence, regardless of the media category. All artists ages 18 and up who exhibit work of original concept, design and execution are eligible to apply. Artists may apply in more than one category; however, a separate application and jury fee must be submitted for each category. Artists may not apply more than once in the same category: Ceramics, Fiber/Textiles, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography/Digital, Printmaking/Drawing, Sculpture, Wood. The New Vanguard: Explorations into the New Contemporary

Keep Contemporary in Santa Fe announces a call to artists for a national juried art competition, February 21 – March 15, 2020. Juror: Jared Antonio-Justo Trujillo. Open to all artists working in painting, printmaking, drawing, mixed media, digital, collage, sculpture, and photography. We are looking for art that pushes the boundaries in a variety of genres including but not limited to High Brow, Low Brow, Pop Surrealism, Hyperrealism, Graffiti Art, and Abstract Art. Entrants must be 18 years or older. Artwork created under the supervision of an instructor is not eligible. Spring Bloom Fine Arts Festival 2020

The McLean County Arts Center seeks artists for the Spring Bloom Fine Arts Festival, held March 7, 2020, at Illinois State University’s Brown Ballroom in Normal, Illinois. Best of Show-$300, First Place Fine Craft-$200, Second Place Fine Craft-$100, First Place Fine Art-$200, Second Place Fine Art $100. All fine art and fine craft will be accepted for jurying. Categories: Ceramics, Fiber, Glass, Graphics, Jewelry, Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Wood, Other. Artwork must be original and created by the exhibiting artist. However, we do allow giclee prints, provided that at least 50% of the artwork displayed is original. All work must be for sale. Castings from commercial molds, kit items, buy/sell items, offset reproductions, unlimited series and/or mass editions are prohibited. Digital images submitted must represent the work that will be exhibited. Best of America Small Works Juried Exhibition

National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society (NOAPS) announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, April 5 – May 3, 2020, at McBride Fine Art Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland. $15,000 in cash and sponsor awards. NOAPS invites oil and acrylic painters from all across North America and International Artists to apply to our exhibit. Artwork must be original two dimensional with mediums limited to oil and acrylic paints, completed in the last three (3) years and not previously accepted in any other NOAPS Exhibit. In Pursuit II: d’Art Center’s 2nd Annual Virginia College & University Show

The d’Art Center in Norfolk, Virginia announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, February 5-29, 2020. 1st Place: $300, 2nd Place: $200, 3rd Place: $100. This exhibition is open to all Virginia art students currently enrolled in the art program at their college or university. Work needs to have been produced within the last two years. All styles and aesthetics are considered. Work may be no longer/larger than 48 inches in its longest dimension. “Red” Call for Entry – Online Art Show

Colors of Humanity Art Gallery announces a call to artists for an online art exhibition, February 1-29, 2020. Cash prizes will be given. Juror: Janelle Cogan. Theme: “Red” This color is symbolic of many different things and emotions. It is most commonly associated with heat, activity, passion, sexuality, anger, love, joy, and, in some cultures, it is the color of happiness. We want to see your interpretation of Red. We will be donating 10% of all entry fees to the Red Cross. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. Call for Artists 2020-21 and 2021-22

The Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA is reviewing artists’ proposals for solo and small group exhibitions for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years, and a curated show, “Southern Ladies.” Artists 18+ are invited to apply; all media will be considered. Artists may propose a solo exhibition, a small group exhibition, or ask to be considered for inclusion in the following exhibition curated by a VSU faculty member. “Southern Ladies” have often been expected to uphold regional traditions and radiate a certain feminine grace. While the phrase conjures up images of hoop-skirted hostesses, this group show reflects on what it means to be a “Southern lady” in the 21st century. With a satirical edge, the exhibition seeks to reconsider gender norms in a regional context by looking at the intersection of feminism, femininity, and Southern identity. $15 entry fee. Deadline: January 15, 2020More info. American Women Artists – Booth Museum Juried Show

American Women Artists and The Booth Museum in Cartersville, Georgia announce a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 23 – August 23, 2020. $30,000 in cash and merchandise awards including a $10,000 Grand Prize. Juror: Lisa Wheeler, Curator at The Booth. Open to women at least 18 years of age, who are working in the fine arts and living in the United States or Canada. Applicants must be a member of American Women Artists. Entries must be of original concept and design. All works submitted must be for sale. The final selection will be an exemplary showcase of a diverse group of representational and abstract artworks by artists who draw, paint, and sculpt. The Louisiana Watercolor Society announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, May 2-22, 2020 at Atrium of Place St Charles (201 St Charles Avenue) in New Orleans, LA. First Prize $2500, Second Prize $1000, Golden Anniversary Award $500; add’l cash and merchandise awards. Juror: Z. L. Feng. The juried exhibition of original water-based media on paper is open to all artists 18 years or older.
