“Painting & Sketching The Spirit of Spain”

Join me for a magical watercolor sketching & Plein air painting adventure! We will tour and paint many spectacular scenes in Barcelona, Girona and Costa Brava, Spain. May 11 – May 21, 2020, with Yuki Hall, TWSA, OWS, WPA. This workshop will be filled with many excursions, guided tours so that non-painting companions can also enjoy. Plein Air watercolor painting in Southern Spain (May 16-23, 2020)

Join me, Lena Thynell, for a week of watercolor painting at the beautiful Garden of Lemons, located in Andalusia, south of Granada, Spain. We will be painting from life, “Plein Air”, capturing what surrounds us. It could be the landscape, the beautiful garden, or the quaint little town. I will give demos focusing on light, contrast, composition, and simplification. You will have lots of time to paint. All skill levels are welcome. There will be 6 days of painting and exploring this beautiful place. You will be offered a few inspirational excursions during the week. Bring your spouse or a friend.

Plein-Air Urban Watercolour Workshops in Barcelona

Year-round – This is an opportunity to enjoy a 5-day Plein-air intensive urban watercolor workshop in the heart of Barcelona. Professional artist Paul Raymonde and his wife Angela run this unusual city-based painting course in one of Europe’s most beautiful metropolis’. The week’s curriculum is carefully structured to cover all aspects of technique. Starting with simple value studies it rapidly progresses to full-colour paintings. Classes are held in the mornings leaving visitors time to explore the sights and culture of Barcelona. All materials are supplied and a picnic lunch with wine (if desired). All abilities are welcome.
