GamesAid Charity Poker Tournament at Develop: Brighton

The annual GamesAid Charity Poker Tournament at Develop: Brighton is back.

To take part in the tournament and guarantee one of 60 places, games industry players need to register their £50 donation/buy-in and name on our dedicated Justgiving Page.

The game is Texas Hold ‘Em No Limit with a £50 donation/buy-in. Re-buys and add-ons will be available on the night. There won’t be cash prizes available, however, a number of other exciting prizes will be announced.

As always, all levels of players are welcome!

Serious Play Conference Montreal

Serious Play Conference is a leadership conference for both those who create serious games/simulations and those who implement game-based learning programs. Speakers are the most experienced developers and designers in the industry, the top academic researchers and senior program heads from education, corporate, healthcare, government/military, museums, and other emerging areas.

Develop: Star Awards

The new Develop: Star Awards will recognise the very best games and talent within the industry with categories that will enable studios of every size to shine.

The awards will be split into 15 different categories, focusing on the achievements of development teams and the success of great games over the previous 12 months. Within the 15 categories, one ultimate ‘Develop Star’ will be awarded to honour an extraordinary game developer.

GamesAid Golf and Spa Day

Exertis will be organising the 12th Annual Entertainment Industry Charity Golf & Spa Day, on Thursday 11th July 2019 at The Grove in Watford, the venue of Tiger Woods’ victory in the American Express Championship in 2006 and the British Masters in 2017.

Hopefully, you will recall the success of previous year’s events, where the efforts of many of the industries key companies from Consumer Electronics, Movies, Music and Games. Who has helped us raise over £500,000 for a nominated selection and UK children’s charities chosen and voted on by the games industry.

European Games Week Summit and Festival

The European Games Summit is a two-day industry event designed to bring together top professionals to discuss the future of the gaming & tech industries in Dublin on the 17th-18th of September.

In order to bring organizations, studios, manufacturers, publishers & legends together in the same environment, the event features over 80 speakers across four rooms dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion, Current & Future Trends, Esports and Game Development.

On September 19th, be there for The European Games Awards, as the industry comes together to celebrate the top achievements and greatest minds.

The European Games Festival is coming to Croke Park in Dublin on the 21st-22nd of September.

Part of European Games Week, the EGW Festival hosts Ireland’s largest Esports event with four titles played over a two-day tournament. This is where homegrown heroes and world-class challengers will battle for cash prizes and the title of EGW Champion!
