Editor’s Desk: August 2018

8. 1. 18

Vol. 6 –  #8

Hello all…a new month has started. Not too much going on in August, to be honest, this month is a bit quieter than the other months. That doesn’t mean it won’t be boring!

Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Jason Mraz, Nicki Minaj, Alice in Chains, and Mac Miller are bringing new music this month with their new albums. Like last month, August has a full packed month of music festivals such as Elements Festival NY, Moonrise Festival, Afropunk, and many more.

GamersProfessional Gamers will be featured for this month’s Shadow Spotlight. I never thought that you can get paid very well for playing video games, but these people are.

I’m searching for workshops in literature, art, and all the other categories, so I’m on the lookout for them.

Film reviews…when was the last time did I do a film review? A while, but hopefully that will change. And Television…I need to do a television series review too.

This month’s Creative Close-Up will focus on the rise or slow rise of ethnic diversity in entertainment. I kind of feel that I’m writing a thesis on this, but I figure now is the time to really focus on this, since racism is still an ongoing problem.

So let’s say goodbye to JulyHello August.
