Hello! Trying to change things a bit, it’s been a while since I posted anything in Music and I want to change that. Comic-Con in San Diego has been on the brain for the past few weeks, so I wanted to see what the city has to offer when bands, big, small, and other events had to offer and here are just a few venues have that you may be interested in going…

THE AIR CONDITIONED LOUNGE

Proper midcentury modern nightclub, complete with dance floor and DJ booth, sunken lounge and VIP room (reservation only), and MOMA-worthy light fixtures. A sense of orange pervades, except perhaps in the blueberry-rich Berryjito. In August 2017, the venue began hosting an on-going series of hip-hop music events called Hip-Hop Wednesday.

HOUSE OF BLUES

House of Blues San Diego opened in 2005 and is home to the famous Bead Wall, an entire wall covered in Mardi Gras beads from New Orleans. House of Blues San Diego also acknowledges its oceanic roots by paying homage La Siren and Agoue. In keeping with tradition, the House of Blues San Diego displays the “Crazy Quilt” and keeps a metal box of mud from the Delta Mississippi underneath its stage.
