San Antonio will celebrate its 300th anniversary in 2018. The San Antonio Tricentennial Celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be commemorated with a year-long calendar of events, activities and innovative initiatives that will carry San Antonio into the next 300 years.
Here are a few initiatives….
TriArt Grant Program
The TriArt Program was created to inspire a diverse range of art throughout San Antonio that reflects local culture and history. Through these temporary and permanent projects, locals and visitors alike will experience a mixture of art in a variety of expressions that reflect the vibrant pulse of the community. The program provides grants between $1,000 and $20,000 to artists and art organizations.
Public Art
Public art is a major component of Tricentennial. With the Tri Art Grant Program, local artists have an opportunity to provide meaningful enrichment and infuse community spaces with culture throughout 2018 and beyond.
