49th Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition
Watercolor West announces a call to artists for a juried exhibition, October 14-December 17, 2017 at the City of Brea Art Gallery in Brea, CA. Approximately $20,000 in cash and merchandise awards. Unbound, Vol. VII – 7th Annual Book Arts Exhibit
ArtisTree Gallery in South Pomfret, VT announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, July 28 – August 26. 1st place- $300, 2nd place- $200, 3rd place- $100. Juror: Bill Hanscom. This is an exhibit of Book Arts with an emphasis on variety- from Coptic stitch to Conceptual work, Unbound allows for freedom to interpret what a book can be. 2017 Art Kudos International Juried Competition
All artists worldwide are invited to enter the 13th annual Art Kudos Competition, a year-long online exhibition. $4,500 in cash awards: Best of Show – $1,200; Second Place – $1,000; Third Place – $750; Founder’s Award of Distinction – $500; (3) Merit Awards – $250 each; (3) Honorable Mentions – $100 each. The 2017 awards judge is Mike Calway-Fagen, an artist, writer, and curator based in Athens, GA where he is Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Georgia. Open to all artists 18 or older. Eligible Media: Drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installations, wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art and mixed media. 6th Annual Square Foot Show
The Bismarck Art & Galleries Association (BAGA) seeks entries for the 6th Annual Square Foot Show, August 1-25, 2017 in Bismarck, North Dakota. The show is open to all artists 18 years old or older. All artwork must be completed on the 12″x12″ canvas provided by BAGA (Canvases are mailed when entry fee is received). Artwork must be signed with name printed clearly on the back. Canvases cannot be altered in size or shape and must be painted on a square grid, not angled. Artwork must be wired for hanging, no saw tooth hangers. All edges of the canvas must be painted. Artwork will be for sale at $130 each (taxes not included.) BAGA takes 30% commission. Artists may enter up to 2 pieces in any media that can be applied to a 12″x12″ canvas. $25 for one canvas /$30 for two canvases. Fee covers the cost of the canvas & shipping. Deadline: June 30, 2017. The Colors of the Night
The Smithtown Township Arts Council announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, August 19 – September 30, 2017, at Mills Pond Gallery in St. James, NY. Awards: $1,000 Best of Show, $500 Second Place, $250 Third Place. Juror: Tim Newton. This exhibition/competition will encompass all varieties of nocturnal art. Twilight/Dusk, Dawn, Urban, Interiors, Landscapes, Figures etc. are all possibilities. No subject is off limits. Juror expectations will be, among other things – originality/creativity, good design, and skillful execution within your medium. Open to USA artists age 18 or older. Show Your World: Third International Juried Exhibition
RE:ARTISTE seeks entries for an international juried art exhibition. Jurors: Lawrence Wheatman, Hadieh Afshani, Rebecca Pearson, Marc Fields, Shirley Siegal, Jay Moorthy. All entries are accepted. Twenty Finalists will display original work at the “Show Your World” exhibition, New York City. The digital installation is part of our art show: artworks of all participants are projected at the gallery during the entire show. Artists of all career levels are welcome. Entries must be in JPEG format, no larger than 1400 x 1800 pixels, and under 2MB. Please remember to include your show statement – it will help the jurors and curators understand your work better. Manifest Press: The International Painting Annual 8
This is a book project of Manifest Press, an extension of Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center, calling for submissions of original works, created within 2014-2017. Any media applicable to the practice of traditional painting including but not limited to printmaking, digital/new media, photography, sculpture, drawing, installation, etc., are all possibly valid. There will be three cash prizes of $1200, $500, and $300 for first, second, and third place winners. Each award winner will have a brief artist’s statement included in the publication and each participating artist receives a complimentary copy of the finished book. $36 for up to 3 entries, $10 for each additional entry.
