October 29 / 16
Morning! The end of October is already here and it’s time to reflect. I have a piece of wisdom to pass along to you. It’s not long, but you’ll feel inspired by it.
For those of you who are traditional artists, musicians, filmmakers, graphic artists, writers, all forms of creativity, this is a subject I’m sure you have come across.
We are creative types who follow to our own set of beats. We love to come up with ideas, we have visions, our ideas may not go along with regular folk, but that’s what makes us unique. Once the vision is set and place, all the i’s have been dotted and the t’s crossed, our vision is complete. We get the accolades, the congrats for the work we do, but there comes a time when we get ourselves in a rut.
I call it Creator’s Block. This is when we plateau and have come across a fork in the road. We don’t know where to go or what to do next and it’s frustrating. The one thing that pops in our heads is to quit. Just quit. Honestly, that just not an option.
I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to give up on your hopes, your goals, or dreams. Don’t quit on any of it. Keep going, as the old saying goes when one door closes, another door opens. Sometimes you gotta break them down.
You may have stopped at a fork, but that doesn’t mean you stop and quit. You just need to figure out which way to go. Break down the doors, keep going. The door or many doors will open.
