Small Works 2016

Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY announces its 3rd national juried exhibition of small artwork (12 inches or smaller in any direction), December 3, 2016 – January 6, 2017. $2,000 in cash awards, “Best in Show” receives $1,000! Juror: Bleu Cease, Executive Director/Curator of Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Open to all U.S. residents at least 18 years of age, working in all media excluding video/sound and installation art. $30 for up to 3 images. $35 for 4-6 images. Deadline: October 17, 2016. The Cup, The Mug: A National Juried Exhibition of Drinking Vessels

Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs, NY announces a national juried exhibition, December 3, 2016 – January 6, 2017. $1,000 in cash awards, “Best in Show” receives $500! Juror: Peter Pincus, ceramic artist and instructor living and working in Rochester, NY. Open to all U.S. artists 18 years and older working in ceramics, glass, wood, or metal. Aviation Week 2016 Photo Contest

Aviation Week announces a call to artists. Get your photo published on AviationWeek.com (December 5, 2016 – June 5, 2017) and in print in Aviation Week & Space Technology. Grand Prize $500; First in Category $250; Second in Category $100; Third in Category $75. The Aviation Week Photo Contest has four categories: Commercial Aviation, Defense, General Aviation and Space. This contest is open to anyone over the age of 18, except for employees of Penton and their families. Photos should be unretouched JPGs of at least 1 MB in size. 12th Annual Small Works Show

440 Gallery in Brooklyn, NY announces a call to artists for a juried art exhibition, December 1-24, 2016. Juror’s Choice, People’s Choice, 440 Choice (cash prizes). Juror: Joanne McFarland. Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 years old. Work must be no more than 12″ in any direction including the framing or mounting, or video monitors. There is no theme, but we welcome all media including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography and digital media. All work must be suitably framed, wired and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass. Maximum weight of sculpture: 30 pounds. Support Children Around the World

Speros Non Proft is hosting its first annual art and photography competition in Salt Lake City, Utah to help raise awareness and money for Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), an organization that rescues children from sex slavery all around the world. One hundred percent of entry fees will be donated to O.U.R. Our theme is “Ye Are the Children of Light.” Open to painters and photographers.
