Reflections: Stop Being Perfect!

March 30, 2015

Simple….there is no such thing as a perfect artist, illustrator, painter, or sculptor. We all want our work to be the perfect work. We want it to be exactly on point perfect, but there is no such thing. None. I’m sure that other artists stress themselves out about certain shapes, shadows of an object or space. The more you stress about it the more frustrated you become. By this time you no longer want to work on your project and you just might put it on the back burner for a while.

Let’s just stop all the nonsense and focus on what’s important. Artists create, sometimes the mistakes we make become the most positive. We can imagine things in our minds, sketch on paper, canvas, or make it out of clay and you get something really wonderfully cool.

Simple right? Stop being the perfect artist. Just create and everything else will follow.
