Editor’s Desk March 2015

March 2, 2015

Number 3/ Volume 3

March has arrived. Not too much going on this month, but I’m hoping to change that. First there is Artexpo New York and Solo. I know it’s late to bring it up, but I did have that posted with the Wix site. I hope you guys can a least see these exhibitions and that way next year, you can participate in getting your work there. April 23 – 26, 2015.

Chinese artist, activist, and many other hats that he wears, Ai Weiwei is this month’s Spotlight Artist. I’m sure some of you recognize this name or heard of this artist, I even had an exhibition of his posted in At the Museum last year, if I can recall for PAMM the Perez Art Museum Miami.

Speaking of At the Museum, lets hop across the pond to the South London Museum and see what they’re up to. I’m sure they have lots of exciting activities galore waiting in store. Expect to see more workshops, and art stuff to be shared, like the Coastal Maine Art Workshop, My Art Trip and others.

I’ve stated this since January that Shadowbox is adding literature and poetry, which is another form of art, but through words. So be on the lookout for writers conferences. I’m sure some of you have heard about the AWP (Association of Writers & Writing Programs) Conference & Bookfair held in Minneapolis from April 8 – 11, 2015. If you are a member of AWP, not only can you purchase a registration, but you can also a get membership bundle and some great benefits as well. I will have this posted on the first Wednesday of this month so please keep a look out!

Finally, if you noticed, I’ve played with the Zuki theme for the past few weeks. I’m still trying to get the feel of it. It’s exhausting and frustrating, but the more I work with it, the more easier it gets. So don’t be alarmed if you see things moved around, I’m just putting the finishing touches. I will also get the pages updated. One page has been demolished and I’m hoping to add a bit more in the coming months.

Let the month of March begin!
