Hola! Good Afternoon and Happy Friday. Where are we going? Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain.
Named after Queen Sofia, the museum officially opened on September 10, 1992 and is dedicated to Spanish art. Located in the southern end of the so-called Golden Triangle of Art, the Museo Reina Sofia or simply The Sofia, has a free access library that specializes in art. It also has a collection of 100,00 books, over 3,500 sound recordings and almost 1,000 videos. Impressive! Little piece of museum trivia: the central building of the museum was once part of a 18th century hospital.
