REFLECTIONS: THANK YOU!

REFLECTIONS: THANK YOU!

March 28, 2014

Hello Friday! The end of March is pretty much around the corner.

I just want to say to all the followers of Esquisses a very big THANK YOU! Esquisses has reach a total of 104 followers! I meant to do this when it reached 100, but I didn’t get to do that earlier so I’m making up for it.

A year ago, I wanted to make a blog all about art, the illustration, the sculpture, photography, etc, etc. I’m still going strong with it and there will be more! It’s not easy getting this all together. I’m doing this all by myself. Sometimes I think maybe I’m doing too much, with my day job, working on three, yes, three art projects, it feels like I’m being pulled in all directions!

You know what I like the most? The way you guys respond to these posts. It shows that all the hard work was worth it. I have so many things that I want for Esquisses…..my brain is just swimming with ideas. I would love to do a podcast, that’s one great idea, but I’m slowing taking my time with it. I don’t want to put too many eggs in one basket.

Again, I want to thank all my followers for making this possible. My goal for Esquisses this year is to improve, to change, and to help fellow artists to reach their goals. Like I said, I don’t put out the helpful information for nothing.

So I’ll say it again: THANK YOU to my current and future followers of Esquisses!

Enjoy your day and always be blessed!

The Summer Session offers a unique opportunity for interested artists who are not enrolled in any of the full-time programs to experience the intensity and rigor of the School’s perspective in a condensed manner.

The Summer Session is comprised of both two-week Marathons and longer atelier classes that focuses on specific concentrations in either drawing, painting, and sculpture. Students may choose to participate in the Marathon, with additional selections of other course offerings, or take the full seven-week path that includes both the Marathon and the Atelier classes. One of the exhibitions featured at the Met/metmuseum.org

This museum has been around for a very long time and to me it’s one of the most familiar places to visit in Manhattan. Founded by John Taylor Johnston on February 20, 1872, (142 years!) the Met has exhibited and collected art works from around the globe.

That’s not all, of course. There are many activities for everyone like workshops, concerts, artist residence programs, membership events and more.

The recent Met Ball exhibition, Punk: Chaos to Couture

The Met also hosts the annual Met Ball or Costume Institute Ball, which has featured fashion exhibitions since 1971.
